What is Business Improvement?

Business Improvement has been described as the process of a ‘thing moving from one state to a state that is considered to be better’, usually through some action or intervention intended to bring about that change and improvement.

What is the difference between coaching and consulting?

A consultant takes the problem away, solves it and brings you the solution then leaves. They are more hands on but who ‘owns’ the knowledge? Coaching uses a structured approach to work with YOU to solve the problem. So when the project is finished, not only do you retain the intellect but also you can use this knowledge elsewhere in your business.

Why do you offer both services?

We believe every business is different. Whilst we may all work in the same industry and use similar processes, it's important that the business owner has their own stamp on things. Different businesses have different needs and we will work with you to establish what you need to meet your own goals. It may be that a blended approach is needed and we have the skillset to deliver just that.

Surely you only need help when your business struggling?

No, not at all. If you look at top elite sports do they only use a coach when their performance is bad? No of course not, in fact the best ones use coaches continually to improve all the time. In fact thriving businesses often have many opportunities to be better and sometimes another pair of eyes from the outside is exactly what is needed.

We can help you with pretty much anything related to improving what you do.

Surely this is expensive and time consuming?

No, it doesn't have to be! One important element is time management and we will work on that with you.

We offer very cost effective packages for ongoing support and will work with you to achieve your goals.

We do like to work with you for at least 12 months, this give us time to really work on the important parts of your strategy and see tangible results. If however you want to look at shorter timescale we can.

When can I expect to see results?

You will be able to see your business from a new perspective right from the start. You will have new tools and tips to use straight away. In the long term you will get out what you put in.

Can I cancel my package if I want to?

Yes of course! If you don't feel you are getting value for money you can cancel at anytime, we wont hold you to a 12 month contract if you are not happy with anything. We are confident this will not be the case, if not we have failed!

What sort of return on investment can I expect?

If you commit to a 12 month program you are investing a significant sum of money in your business, this is a direct expense and tax deductible which is great news! You would also expect to see tangible results which we will aim to demonstrate to you regularly through our business reviews. We would be very disappointed if at the end of the 12 months you have not covered the cost of our fees in new business and/or savings. In fact we fully expect to see a tangible profit on anything you have invested!

How do I know you are any good?

We have over 20 years demonstrable experience leading and managing in the plumbing and drainage industry. We have qualifications in Health and Safety, Construction, Teaching and Training, and Industry technical certifications. We also have practical experience on the ground. We have worked for the largest plumbing and drainage organisations in the UK.
